Embark on an unforgettable 4-day journey through Ha Giang, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountainous regions. This itinerary takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of the Dong Van Karst Plateau, winding mountain passes, traditional H’Mong villages, historic landmarks, and vibrant local communities.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

In the morning, depart from Hanoi for Ha Giang. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, passing through the beautiful countryside and rugged landscapes of northern Vietnam.

Have lunch at a local restaurant on the way.

Upon arrival in Ha Giang, complete the Frontier Area Permit and visit the Km 0 Milestone, the starting point of the Ha Giang Loop.

Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Ha Giang.

Day 2: Ha Giang – Dong Van

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

07:00: Begin your exciting journey through the spectacular Dong Van Karst Plateau.

Highlights of the day:

✔ Bac Sum Pass – The first mountain pass on the way to the Dong Van Karst Plateau.

✔ Quan Ba Sky Gate – Enjoy panoramic views of Tam Son Town and the famous Twin Mountains (Bosom Mountains).

✔ Lung Tam Weaving Village – Discover the traditional weaving techniques and learn how local artisans create beautiful H'Mong brocade products.

Noon: Have lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue exploring:

✔ Tham Ma Pass – A famous mountain road where horses were traditionally tested for their strength.

✔ Pho Cao Village – Admire the traditional H'Mong houses surrounded by distinctive stone fences. If your visit falls on the appropriate market day, you may also have the opportunity to visit Pho Cao Market.

✔ Nine-Turn Pass – Enjoy spectacular views of the winding mountain road.

✔ Sung La Village – Visit a traditional H'Mong Ancient House, famous as one of the filming locations for The Story of Pao.

✔ H'Mong King’s Mansion – Located in a beautiful valley in Sa Phin, this historic residence belonged to one of the most powerful and wealthy H'Mong families in Dong Van in the early 20th century.

✔ Lung Cu Flag Tower – Visit one of Vietnam's northernmost landmarks and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

18:00: Arrive in Dong Van Town, check in at the hotel and relax.

19:00: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

After dinner, you are free to explore Dong Van Old Quarter at night, enjoy a cup of coffee at a local café, or sample some of the town's local specialties at your own expense.

Overnight in Dong Van.

Day 3: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Ha Giang

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

07:00: Have breakfast at the hotel.

08:00: Check out and continue your Ha Giang adventure.

✔ Ma Pi Leng Pass – One of the most spectacular mountain passes in Vietnam, offering breathtaking views over the mountains and valleys.

✔ Ma Pi Leng Canyon – Stop for photos and admire the dramatic canyon, with cliffs reaching approximately 800 meters deep.

Optional Experience

Boat trip on the Nho Que River and through Tu San Canyon, subject to weather and river conditions.
Boat ticket and motorbike transfer to the pier are not included.

Noon: Have lunch at a local restaurant in Meo Vac Town.

After lunch, continue the journey through beautiful mountain villages and valleys, including:

Lung Phin – Lung Ho – Mau Due – Lang Khac

There will be opportunities to stop along the way for photos and to enjoy the spectacular scenery and local life.

Continue driving back to Ha Giang City.

Overnight in Ha Giang.

Day 4: Ha Giang – Hanoi

Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Depart Ha Giang and transfer back to Hanoi, with the journey taking approximately 5–6 hours.

Have lunch at a local restaurant on the way.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to your hotel and tour services end.
